The first item I received to review is the Prime Objective Face Primer. I was really excited to try this, as I am constantly looking for my 'holy grail' face primer and still haven't quite found it.
From the Studio Gear Website:
Prime Objective Face Primer is a silicone-based face primer that not only smooths surface imperfections for an incredibly bright complexion, but it also includes rejuvenating ingredients such as retinol and milk protein 20 that condition, balance, and protect the skin from environmental stresses. Optical diffusers further enhance the complexion by lightening and brightening!
The consistency and wear of this primer is almost identical to Smashbox's Photo Finish Foundation Primer, only slightly less expensive. It goes on very smoothly and is super lightweight. Definitely a noticeable difference wearing this under my foundation vs no primer.
Next up is their Hydrating CC Cream in 'natural.' I'm always intrigued by all the BB/CC/DD creams on the market these days so, again, another product I was pleased to review.
From the Studio Gear website:
Hydrating CC Cream transforms and enhances your complexion in an incredibly light, smooth formula. This foundation simultaneously fights aging, retains moisture, and covers and treats blemishes with a non-oily, perfectly radiant finish.
The 'natural' color isn't a color I would have chosen myself and at a first look it looks to lean almost gray. However, this CC cream blends very, very well almost the the point of becoming invisible on the skin. Obviously that means the coverage isn't fantastic, but I will say it does an excellent job of moisturizing and makes my skin appear brighter! GREAT for those light makeup days.
Last, but certainly not least, we have the Impactfull Pro T.L.S. Mascara.
From the Studio Gear Website:
Impactfull Pro T.L.S. Mascara is a studio tested, high impact mascara that THICKENS, LENGTHENS, and SEPARATES the lashes, delivering maximum fullness and flare. Naturally derived collagen, hydrolyzed wheat protein, and antioxidants nourish and condition the lashes for added benefit.
This is actually a really great mascara! It definitely separates and lengthens and doesn't clump at all. It doesn't do a whole lot in the volume department, but that can easily be fixed with a few coats. Photo is with one coat of mascara on the left and without on the right. No other makeup.
Interested in try these or other products from Studio Gear? I know I'm definitely interested in purchasing a few brushes from them, since that's what they're known for!
